Great to hear about everyone else's experience with the snow! I'm still in
the 55% of unplowed residential streets in Alexandria though we do have
plowed primary and secondary streets close enough to walk to if we really
wanted to get out and about. Speaking of which I finished the re-build of
the XO-3 today. A highly utilitarian and not at all beautiful build but it
seems sound, brakes well and the studded tires are mostly not rubbing the
fenders so I'm going to say good enough! :) I made a quick ride up and
down the block (on hardpacked, unplowed snow) and did ok. Tomorrow I'm
hoping to get out and do a quick survey of my normal commuting route on the
Mount Vernon Trail before the rain comes in (scheduled for mid-day).
Federal Gov't is closed again tomorrow so I'll be teleworking but I'd like
to get an idea of whether a ride in on Wednesday is going to be feasible.
Any locals make it out on the Mount Vernon Trail? I've seen reports about
the W&OD and Custis but no MVT reports... also curious about the 14th St
Bridge pedestrian path.

Back to M-bar's seems fitting on the XO. Since I have more garage time
likely tomorrow afternoon I'll try to improvise some mud flaps for this
build and decide what luggage is going to be put in use. I'm fresh out of
Wald 137's so I'll need to fix that once Amazon starts delivering again.

Nokian/Suomi Mount and Ground 26x1.95" tires saw a bit of use last season
but not a whole lot. Still have nearly all the tread indicators attached
firmly.

>From yesterday, I don't know the cyclists but they were doing fine along Mt
Vernon Ave (different from the trail!) with regular tires.
