Personally, if I had a perfect wheel built by a professional I would not mess with it at all. Better to get another wheel than try to do something that I am no expert in which is why I pay good money for perfect wheels in the first place so that never need to be touched at all !
Either I would not use it, or if the axle was swappable for a longer one, add the same amount of spacers to each side. I'd then check the chainline and see if it's doable in real world kinda combinations of gearing.
