Both are pretty ideal places to take kids, although you do have to watch out for the "speed- racers" (idiots) who think they can *fly* on a multi-use trail. Also, not 10-15 miles long, but on Sundays, Golden Gate Park in the City is close to traffic and a good place for families. Good Luck!
