I know you are joking around, Jim. But still, that's not the reason I think it's awesome. Maybe people think I'm too generous to Grant, but I enjoy it when he throws out constraints and allows himself the freedom to re-think things. I approve of removing unnecessary mental shackles. In this sliver of the bike industry there are a lot of devout traditionalists. "I like it this way, because it's been this way forever and so it must be the best way". I like how Grant tosses away the preconception from time to time and gives himself the permission to do it again. Now he's had the freedom to spec a crankset. Offering it right off the bat in 4 sizes is pretty awesome. Offering a 182mm crankset has got to make the >97PBH guys feel good. The weird 173 and 178 is just enough to make people like me know I can pick one that will work for me, and is just enough to piss off the tradtionalist zealots.
