My only experience with Rivendell bikes is via internet photos and owner's
reports but the A. Homer Hilsen was the bike that really fired my
enthusiasm for RBW. I then discovered that RBW's philosophy wasn't far
from what I had been doing for the past 12 or so years and became a
dedicated fan. A series of e-mail conversations with Grant educated me on
the Rivs that would work best for me and now, the 56cm Atlantis is my idea
of the ideal bike and if I ever buy a Riv, it will be an Atlantis and if I
ever have a custom frameset built, it will be based on the Atlantis. But
it all started with A.H.H. and it's still the quintessential Rivendell for
me and the most beautiful.
