I am having a frame made, which, as the Quickbeam, can accommodate single speed set up and an IG hub (actually mine will be somewhat more versatile as it will have an EBB). I am going to try the Alfine. Assuming the builder gets it to me soon (his flickr page shows the frame is done, but not painted yet) this is going to see some heavy winter duty. I will report back in a few months with my Alfine impressions.
