We’ve written up 3 great fall rides on our journal which might be of interest to DC/MD area Riv riders. A bunch of Riv riders recently did one of our s24o trips we wrote about, and dug it, so I figured this might be good reading as well. There’s a coffee outside ride, a winery ride, and a big epic ride from Frederick City to the PA border. From the article on our journal: Fall is the most fleeting of seasons. It’s burst of color a final explosion before the land plunges into a world of abbreviated days, muted grays and biting winds. Don’t spend it inside, eating bonbons and drinking pumpkin flavored coffee. We’ve compiled three local rides that start in the city o’ Frederick and head out into the country. They are not your typical rides, and they avoid the main roads that Frederick cyclists use. Less traffic, more scenery. Some of ‘em have pretty big hills. For all of them, we recommend a roadish bike with fat tires and low gears. Here’s the link: http://gravelandgrind.com/frederick-forgotten-explore/
