As much as some of us like to generalize, there are some details of various
Rivendell models that evolved over time.

If one of you forced $3500 into my greedy hands today and forced me to
order a custom Rivendell right now, I might choose a bike that has sloping
(single) TT like a Hillborne, has the lightest tubing Grant is comfortable
with like a Roadeo or Legolas, has cantilever brakes and is built around
the Switchback Hill tires plus fenders. It would have a low BB like a road
bike.
