I registered for this ride, which is October 3. If anyone else is doing it, it would fun to try to meet up at the beerandfoodfest afterward.
Ride info: it's in California between Santa Rosa and the coast. Willow Creek Road is a dirt road that the organizers added in as an option a number of years ago. It makes this a fun ride when riding one's Riv. The Medio route I signed up for is 100k. A Medio rider who does not take Willow Creek rides on pure pavement and climbs Coleman Valley Road from Bodega Bay to Occidental. Those who take Willow Creek replace Coleman Valley with Willow Creek and get a beautiful dirt route that is also a climb. Willow Creek riders converge with Coleman Valley riders near Occidental, and Willow Creek riders never ride as far south as Bodega Bay. I have no connection to the ride organizers. I've done it once, in 2011, and enjoyed it. It was on my Ram with Jack Brown Greens 700x33. I did get a bad flat with broken spoke, and that happened after the dirt section. (The wheel was not by Lesnik. Thanks to the bike being a Riv, I finished the ride with only a small time spent re-truing.) I plan to bring a better wheel this time. Without Willow Creek, I'd be much less interested in this ride.
