Somewhere the PDX and Durham, I was able to get out for a nice four hour
ride yesterday, too! Covered 35 miles (you do the math) but able to get
3,600 ft of elevation in the process. Only took about three five-minute
stops along the way, which for me is pretty amazing! This was in
preparation for next week's Rough Rider ride in Santa Monica mountains.
Don't forget that's coming up!!!

SoCal Riv Riders will recognize portions of the two rides we've had out this
way. I combined them to make a really nice loop. Maybe sometime this
Spring????

Downside was that I crashed at around mile 33. Slipped out the front end
going 'round a turn in the wild grasses. My whole right side is kinda' sore
today. Also my neck hurts a bit. Not sure if that's from the crash or just
from doing more exertion than I normally do

Upside is I found a cool thrown away bike to rescue! 24"
German/Austrian/Dutch bike with Sachs hub and full fenders, wiring etc.
Well, at least it did before it was totally and completely thrashed by
hooligans. A bit of a project. Hopefully I can find the shifter parts as
the rest is pretty straightforward.

Good stuff!
