You've done phenomenally, Anne! I am sorry I 'm not doing well enough to join you, as you're just down the road from me. You have some beautiful territory ahead as you go up and down from passes to ranch country and back and forth again and again. Water up well before heading up from North Fork as there's nothing on that ridge and then you are in the uranium super fund clean up (which is not potable even from before the mining due to natural uranium content). The train at the CO/NM border is fun to see, and Georgia O'Keefe's ranch is well worth stopping into near Abiquiu as well. In my experience, drivers are not used to people on bikes in that area of NM (including Taos/Santa Fe, but it's been a while since I've tried it. Have a fantastic rest of your trip!
