My wife and I went to the National Gallery of Art yesterday to see the new
(and wonderful) Caillebotte show. Don't miss it if it's near you!

Anyway on our way out I spied a classic Peugeot parked at the bike rack in
the auto court on the east side. I went to inspect -- simplex detailers
front and rear, mafac brakes, an unusual double pocket small saddle bag,
pretty well equipped for a city or touring bike. As I lifted my head and
looked down the rack, near the far end was this lovely butterscotch color
step-through. I walked over for a closer look. On the seat tube were the
normal Cheviot decals along with a Riv decal. Surprisingly, the down tube
did not say "CHEVIOT." The head badge was correct. Makes me wonder
whether it's a custom? It was beautiful! I've never seen one like this
color, or for that matter any Riv of this color. Quite special. A very
lucky owner!
