I got curious and checked the Schwalbe website. The Big Apples are still available, but they are now classified as "HS430" instead of the older "HS338." Snooping around elsewhere on their site, I came across an announcement that the newer version was introduced at InterBike (doesn't say which InterBike year) and that it has a "lower profile of 1.5mm," whatever that means, and that it's also "E-Bike ready," whatever THAT means. Going back to the first website, there's a note at the bottom of the page saying that the HS338 is still available while quantities last. And then there's a chart with different sizes and widths, some of which say "OUT", others say "ADD." I checked mine and they're old enough to be the HS338's. Makes me nervous. Wonder if I shouldn't order a pair just in case, not being real certain what the new model is all about (and since the 26x2.35 is still available in the older style). Hate to, though, cause they're so pricey…
