I put many miles on 26X2.35 and 700C X 2.35 Big Apples, both Regular and
Liteskin. They roll very very well for their anvil-like weight (though you
certainly feel them on the hills) and they are the one tire I've ridden in
all my life that can survive our bosque goathead hell without sealant!

I've come out of a trail with literally scores of goatheads in the BA's,
front and rear, stopped, flicked them off, and continued riding with no
loss of air.

They're not absolutely proof against the thorns, but with standard tubes
they were as troublefree almost as my new tubeless F Freds with sealant.
They are wonderful tires. I'd get a thorn puncture once every 70-100 miles
or so, which around here is PDG.

(OTOH, the regular 29er 60 mm BA weighs 900 grams while the FF weighs 360
grams ....)
