One more thing: a couple of years ago I hosted a "Northern East Bay Mixed 
Terrain Ride," which linked together a lot of the stuff I was just 
describing.  If you search the list archives you should be able to find my 
description of the route and could probably piece it together yourself.  

I'd come with you except that I no longer live in Berkeley...moved up to 
Sacramento a few months ago.
