FWIW, when I (briefly) owned a Sam, I had a local builder add lowrider braze ons. IIRC, it cost me no more than 50 or 60 with a touch up paint job good enough that I didn't notice it from more than 5 feet away. (I had the double attachments needed for the Duo, requiring no "arch" over the wheel.)
