To quote Kent Peterson -
"Keep pedaling. It will get better."

Try to stick with folks on the way from the start to Fairfax. If you
haven't ridden that section before, there are a ton of route instructions
which seem daunting, but it's actually pretty simple. It follows the main
north/south commute route, so most people can help with directions if you
get off course (more an issue coming home).

No easy water sources once you head out towards the lighthouse. Inverness is
the last town. It can be a visually demoralizing leg, as you can see all the
way out to the destination and the pitch up to the lighthouse is noticeable.

It's getting dark by 5 pm now, and you should have usable lighting. The
Camino Alto climb from Corte Madera to Mill Valley does not have much in the
way of streetlights, and can be a little freaky if you only have a 1w LED.

After dark, the GG Bridge limits access to the east side, through a
controlled gate. You'll hit that right at the end of the ride, and it's been
known to flummox tired riders. Look for the button.

I've done that ride twice -

Won't be out there this weekend, not enough miles and still getting better
after a bout with the flu.

It's a great course!

"My nighttime attitude is anyone can run you down and get away with it.
That's why I don't even own a bike light or one of those godawful reflective

see you in order for you to be safe...you've already blown it."
