Sorry I missed you Tony! I think I set a new personal record for the slowest 50 miles I've ever hidden, but I took my time and met a lot of really great people along the way. That 2-3 mile section of mud about 11 miles in was truly brutal. I quickly learned that the sidepull brakes are absolutely awful in thick mud. I could not get 10 feet before my wheels would seize up and I ended up carrying my bike 2 miles before I finally climbed a fence and pushed it through the grass. I eventually pulled my wheels off and spent about 25 minutes digging out the mud, clay, rocks, and grass. Next year I will be bringing the Bombadil if the conditions are as similiar.
