I'd say "Go for it," after careful measurement of course!

Riv's practically beg for experimentation. I change my Homer around all the
time. I just changed my AHH fork out for the simpleone fork that Riv was
selling to get canti brakes / Nitto M12 rack up front, which actually
increased my trail. The simpleone fork has a 47.5mm rake, where the AHH
fork has a 52mm rake, so trail is increased by 4.5mm, to about 68.

This is only my experience with changing trail on a bike, and my verdict is
that I can't tell AT ALL. Its fine, its stable, it rides like a Riv. I
even use a large Acorn Rando bag up front. High trail + front load, over
about 7mph feels fine. Super low speed, the front end is more wobbly.

I've even though about cold-set re-raking the fork to lower the trail a bit
and get rid of TCO, but I'm not sure its worth it.
