First time installing these bar end shifters. Novice bike mechanic at my best. I have installed the shifter that will shift the front derailer. I have not installed the cable yet. When I pull up and push down on the shift lever, it's like I can feel some resistance or it feels like it is hitting small bumps or ridges as I move it up and down. Is this normal?
It has full range of motion and seems to shift up and down as needed. I guess that I was expecting it to be smooth for a lack of a better way to say it. Not complaining, I just don't have much experience to compare it to. I installed it per the Shimano instructions. The parts seem to fit together as intended.
