It's mostly decently maintained dirt roads, but there are some rocky portions. We had a variety of tires. David had some pretty serious looking knobs, Ian was on Smart Sams, Robert was on Rock'n'Roads (I think); I was on a Marathon Supreme & Marathon Plus combo (no good reason, just what was around). This route isn't too demanding of tires, other than some skill at rock avoidance.
