If it's any consolation, I didn't see the mss in question. I hope you feel better. I very, *very* easily get sore throats when chilled -- don't talk to *me* about the germ theory of colds! -- and descend, thence, seriatim, into sniffles, coughing, lung inflamation, and general malaise. So I try to keep my neck covered warmly.
