We went into Whiting Ranch off Portola, climbed up to 4 corners (nearly made it!) then over to Santiago Cyn Rd, down thru El Toro on Aliso Creek bike path and into Aliso/Woods Cyn. We found Dripping Cave (kinda dry right now) and had a nice bike push up Mathis trail to the ridgeline overlooking Laguna Cyn Rd. Down to Laguna Cyn on Stair Step (aptly named) and back to Irvine. Roughly 40 miles, maybe 1/4 (?) unpaved. Ah, but they were quality miles. Good group, good time, ZERO flats (how did that happen?) and no dramatic moments.
