Digging through e-mails received during last week’s vacation, I found a response from Mark at Riv to my question about rear brake cable routing on the Clementine, showing the routing for cantis in closer detail than the Blug pics, and also revealing that there will be a cable stop on the seat tube, eliminating need for a zip tie on the seat tube securing the cable housing. Here’s the message:
Hi Tom, Here are a couple pics of the small Clementine built with CX50 (lower profile) cantis. Works quite well and no heel clearance issues. On the final production frames, there will be a braze-on housing guide on the seat tube, so no zip tie will be needed. Great. I'd be interested to know if that bottom bit is really a cable stop, when it arrives! On Monday, 23 March 2015 22:58:15 UTC+1, Pudge wrote: Price is right.
