Now if you wanted to cruise, you took your RatRod to "the A", A&W at Venice and Sepulveda on Friday nights for a Mama Burger Assuming the RatRod had sufficient reliability (mine didn't and this would surely have caused a call to Dad's auto service), one cruised between "the A" in Culver City and the one in Encino. Iteratively. They had waitresses on roller skates who attached metal trays to your window (mine was frozen in the perfect position for a tray). In my adolescent mind, the waitresses were unattainable Goddesses who were in an entirely different category from what interest from I could get from the other gender.
