Thanks, Steve. Yes, we consulted with Feathered Friends (who made my down bag) and did the "we don't have a dryer" version of that. The hood is lumpy because it needs more soap and agitation. The rest of the bag turned out great, but having to fuss about moisture in the field, regardless of time of year, is a big challenge.
