Thanks so much! That is very helpful. I should have mentioned, I've been to Portland before. Just once. I was on a motorcycle tour and stopped at a friends house. I stayed for the day and he took me around. It's a lovely place, definitely need to visit for longer some time!
Your route seems pretty good. Distances are varied and never too long.
