Standard.

Yep, the chainstays do look pretty narrow.  My Road Standard fits a 650 x
38 b tire, with less than 2 mm on either side at the chainstay.  The fork
legs are pretty narrow too.  But it's a great bike on those tires.

It may also be the record for cheapest Riv, especially one that says
"Rivendell" on the DT.  I got mine (in better shape with better components)
for $750.  Very, very happy with that purchase!
