I tried searching online, but couldn't come up with anything definitive on
bicycling under the influence in Texas. I did read that you can be fined for
public intoxication at least.

Where I went to college in Davis, CA, you can be fined for bicycling under
the influence (BUI), and it might even go on your record. Definitely
happened since almost everyone in Davis rides a bike, and a lot of students
would ride bikes to and from parties.

So I wouldn't surprised if there is something similar in other states.
