Well, since the topic is my FAVORITE riding weather... 65F, sunny, humidity
less than 60%, which during the spring and summer in Seattle is reasonably
common. More generally, I enjoy riding most when the temps are between 55
and 85 with low humidity and at least partly sunny. Since my bike is my
sole means of private transportation my operating range is much wider than
my desirable range. I'm never thrilled about riding in a downpour,
regardless of temperature because I feel my visibility is compromised, but
sometimes I have to do it. I'm never thrilled about sub 40F riding, because
no matter what I do my hands and/or my feet get too cold (yes, I've tried
all the tricks), but sometimes it has to be done. I accept that in some
circles this probably makes me a ninny, but so be it. So I supposed my
operating range is 25F to 95F, rain or shine, day or night. If I'm riding
to work, I'm much less tolerant of lousy weather than if I'm on a joyride
with friends...
