The limiting factor right now on the Redwood is the 200mm cranks. I'm scraping pretty often even with 700x32. But I do have an extra 650B wheelset sitting around now that I sold my Soma GR.
Which brings me to the other limiting factor - time. I am working with a contractor to put my house back together after a sewer line backup resulted in flood remediation people tearing out flooring, baseboards, sheetrock and insulation. It's also Christmas time. And, I'm trying to reach some mileage/kilometer goals for the year, which demand time spent riding bikes, not working on converting them to a different wheel size. So I'll keep riding the Redwood as is for now. I really do want a purpose built 650B frame - eventually. It probably won't be a Rivendell, because I don't see a low trail 650B optimized frame for very tall riders as something Grant has shown any signs of interest towards. He uses the 650B for the smaller frames but usually the big ones are 700C spec. Nor does he appear to be a fan of low trail. For my money I'd probably lean towards a Boulder custom lugged or if I wanted more versatility, a Elephant NFE. I suppose another custom Riv could be in the offing but it's hard to justify the additional $1300 over a lugged Boulder, they look really, really nice.
