I don't want to race and the older I get the less I want to ride on cold, dark, wet days. But I will say this, the good thing about cyclocross is that it hasn't been cooped by BIG MONEY. I can't think of a single sport that hasn't gotten worse with corporate sponsors big prize money. I played baseball for fun, and 50 years ago had great fun and accumulated lots of trophies in track and field. I'm glad that lots of people can still have fun racing cyclocross without getting their egos or their livelihood tied in a knot.
