I rode up to Rampart Reservoir (paved, until it’s not, then dirt until it’s
single track, then reverse it on the way home). Took the Hunqapiller as I
didn’t feel like pushing myself. I was amazed by how strong I am thanks to the
Quickbeam. No granny gear required and I barely used my 34 in the rear, though
I was taking it easy. It was in the 20’s ˚F when I left at 6 something.
Wonderful to ride a semi-long ride (5+ hours) in the crisp. Due to the climb,
it stayed in the 20’s most of the ride, till I came down lower.

I learned people do not dodge water bottles that fall out their cages (thanks
washboard!). but they must have made a grand explosion sound when hit because
they were fantastically split.

It sure felt good to get out on a bit of a longer ride after two weeks of brain
barely allowing me to pop up to the local water falls.
