Rod, That bike you describe is very worthy. I had that same model once upon a time. I would like to point out that even if 32/33mm tires can fit under fender on this bike. It is far from ideal; most fenders wont work, the brake choice matters as well a few smaller factors. I eventually switched to 28mm tires under fenders or 32 without (larger can fit). All of the factors had to line up in a certain way for the fender and 32+ to fit and it was troublesome for me to keep the setup just so.
