The question never was, can you build a 28 spoke 2X front hub. Rather,
it was this: "Regardless of the fact that the person most experienced in
North America with the SON, a noted wheel builder and the North American
distributor for the SON, the man who handles every single warranty claim
for that hub recommends against 2X */for this hub/*. Regardless of
that, should I go ahead and do a 2X build anyway, because by doing so I
can achieve a trivial weight savings?" :-)
