I ride GB Lierre tires on Synergy rims, and I encounter the same issues Jan
highlights in the above article.

I use his methods (barely inflate tire, massage it into place) and I get
the tires to seat (eventually).  Riding a partially-seated tire doesn't
seem to work for me, only seating it manually.

I had similar seating issues on Weinmann ZAC19 rims, so they may have a
deep well like Synergy rims.
