I have S-A Titanicos with slots on two of my bikes, and a Brooks B-67
and B-17 on two others. I love the B-67 on bikes with upright bars
like North Roads, but for bikes with more drop to the bars, I find the
S-A saddles more comfortable than either of the Brooks saddles (this
is purely personal preference). I've heard many complaints about the S-
A stretching prematurely, and I don't doubt it, though I'm sure that
depends upon a person's weight and riding style. I weigh 155 lbs. and
the stretching on both S-A's has been minimal so far (I've been riding
one for over a year). I'm curious to try an Imperial, but I have to
think part of what makes the S-A different than the Brooks is the
softer leather in addition to the slot. I'm sure in the long run the
Brooks saddles will outlast the Titanicos, but for me it's a
worthwhile investment.
