I know this is a bit of a moot point now since Kurt is going to do a car rental, but for anyone else thinking about using Amtrak (Coast Starlight) for a tour in this area: Currently all bikes must be boxed and can only board/unboard at a station with baggage service. Dunsmuir doesn't have baggage.
