I use the vo stabilizer. It is inelegant but effective. I don't notice it actually stabilizing my steering, but it's awesome for preventing wheel flop when loading the bike or hooking up a trailer.
If I ever have reason to repaint the hilsen, I will be adding a braze on to the bottom side of the down tube just under the decals to mount a stabilizer sans clamp.
