Chad, I can't believe I rode by without noticing your bike!!! I must have had the tunnel vision going with the road being so crowded early in the race. How did the Sam perform on the rough roads with your tire choice and mustache bars? I was amazed at how stable the Atlantis was in the rough stuff and how fast and far I was able to coast down the hills. The vibrations from the stiff tires with too much air pressure really wore on me towards the end of the race; I might wrap a layer of cork tape on the handlebars to see if it absorbs some of the vibrations. Fortunately the roads smoothed out for the last 20-30 miles. I am sorry to hear about your mechanical problems; you will have to give it a try again next year.
