I just put TRP CX8.4 mini V brakes on my wife's 26" wheeled Atlantis. They do not extend beyond the fork leg until about the top of the tire, then spread out to less than a half inch beyond the fork leg. One reason for the mini Vs is they work with Shimano Tiagra road levers. Her bike does not have any front rack.
