Cost per mile, as Jan states, is the key. For the amount of riding I do ( retired and loving it) I'll pay the extra for the lightweight Hetres. I also have a set of the Compass 38mm Leger tires on the Homer, and on the Boulder Road Sport, a set of 32mm Leger tires. Lightweight, supple, and fast, the tires are a joy to ride.
