Simpleone.  Yes, the Simpleone did have a very nice Rene Herse single ring
crank on it.  I neglected to ask what size the ring was, sorry.

The Simpleone owner also had a very nice Rohloff shifter more toward the
stem that was not stock, it was marked GB and it was in very shiny polished
metal with the gear numbers engraved on it.  I assume the "GB" meant Giles
Berthaud (sp?).  Nice setup.

He did mention that flats can be a bit of an adventure with removing the
rear wheel, maybe that's why you don't see more of these internally geared
hubs on randonneuring rides.

I realized there was also a pic in there of a local family that showed up
on bikes, so i took a pic to sort of get some local flavor into it.  It was
nice to see people out riding around for the fun of it :)
