I'll give a full Cheviot report soon, but am so pleased-as-punch with the brakes that I'll just mention it now...
They were an ebay "score" (relatively) and so I was willing to ignore their mis-matchy nature. I'd originally intended to build it up entirely w/ black parts, but my wife (it's her trail shredder!) thought that was too Halloween-y, so it morphed into a orange-silver-black thing. In light of that, the brakes now make perfect sense! ;-) Since then, I noticed that the black/silver Racers seem to be available from a variety of online retailers. They are exactly what the doctor ordered - I loved the Smart Sams on the demo @RBWHQ, but clearance with the sidepulls was just a bit tight.
