The aforementioned Nike Marathon starts in Union Square, then proceeds along the waterfront curling around to the Great Highway (Ocean Beach). I don't think it will directly impact parking on the south side of the bridge, though it will mess a little with the cross-city traffic of all kinds. There is free, all-day parking on the north end of the bridge, in the lot on the west (Headlands) side. That's where I park for the SFR 200K, and you just have to roll across the GG Bridge to the meeting point. The main hill on the route will be the White's Hill climb out of Fairfax. There is an alternate dirt route (which could be done either up or down the climb) which uses the old railroad grade from Glen Drive. Nothing a proper country bike couldn't handle. - J -- Jim Edgar cyclofi...@earthlink.net Cyclofiend Bicycle Photo Galleries - http://www.cyclofiend.com Current Classics - Cross Bikes Singlespeed - Working Bikes "You must be the change you want to see in the world."
