Just thinkin' . . . . .

I've used two wax based lubes, because cleaning chains is strongly not my
preference :)

Squirt, which is not widely available, is by far the longest lasting. It
has no petroleum in it, it's water based and White . It does alight in the
rain as long as it's been applied recently. It does tend to build up
though in the drivetrain and cogs, remove it with a screwdriver, lol.
Never have to clean the chain. I put this one on hold.

Then I tried White Lighting Clean Ride. A petro based wax lube. Shockingly
thin compared to Squirt, but it took me awhile to see this is
advantageous. You have to apply it more frequently, but there is very
little build up, nothing like with Squirt. No dirt clings to it . Wipe the
chain after each ride. It's very easy to reapply, let it dry for at least a
few hours. Pretty good in the rain too .

I used to paraffin too long ago, but didn't enjoy the whole lengthy process
. I want simple, minimal. Clean Ride is just that. I never have to clean
the chain, other than to remove the factory lube. EVER ! Ride , apply and
wipe. Kind of like life . . . Eat , do and wipe !
