This is all very interesting.  I have bad fork shudder on one of my
bikes (with Shimano BR-R550's).  I bought one of those fork mount
cable hangers a while ago because I changed headsets and wasn't sure
if the hanger would fit.  I'm going to try the fork mount hanger and
see if it solves the problem.
