We had a great group of people - I was worried the city riding might
be a little rough with traffic, but everything seemed to work out
right.  Most of us will take a little sunburn with us as a keepsake.
The next San Diego ride - maybe later in the fall, will likely explore
some of our fire roads in our vast and mountainous east county.  I
also want to work in a visit to one of our famous breweries...

The Mulholland grade looks like a lot of fun.  If anyone is visiting
the region, be sure to let us know - you might have a ride planned in
your honor.

Patrick - I loved your photos of the Deerfield ride - I was in grad
school at UMass and loved the terrain out there - on a 3-speed.  when
I lived out there, most folks assumed San Diego is hot.  It rarely
gets above 77 or 78 - at least along the coast.  Most tourists find it
cooler than they expect.
