We had a great group of people - I was worried the city riding might be a little rough with traffic, but everything seemed to work out right. Most of us will take a little sunburn with us as a keepsake. The next San Diego ride - maybe later in the fall, will likely explore some of our fire roads in our vast and mountainous east county. I also want to work in a visit to one of our famous breweries...
The Mulholland grade looks like a lot of fun. If anyone is visiting the region, be sure to let us know - you might have a ride planned in your honor. Patrick - I loved your photos of the Deerfield ride - I was in grad school at UMass and loved the terrain out there - on a 3-speed. when I lived out there, most folks assumed San Diego is hot. It rarely gets above 77 or 78 - at least along the coast. Most tourists find it cooler than they expect.
