Ha! I backpacked around Europe after college in '96. My friend and I lost our guide book the first day and had a ball trying to find our way around without any information (no iPhone then!). One day in Dover we were trying to climb into the castle (it was closed), and got lost in a forest -- and happened upon a strange airplane-ish slab of concrete. It was the Bleriot monument, where he crash landed!
I always think of that whenever I see a Bleriot bicycle. Those were quite nice. The Hillborne is a nice replacement. But I liked the look of the Bleriot, and I liked how you could get 650B in the upper sizes. I'm sure many ended up as nice rando and city bikes. Esteban San Diego, Calif.
