A four or six pack beer holder maybe? Probably more disposable than your intending but I've done many a coffee run with a six pack holder full of largish cups in my basket. Works fine. I've found the flying dog four pack to work really well because they are a bit taller.
A few koozies and some creative use of a hot glue gun might work too, or maybe just zip tied to the basket edges.
